About me

My name is Ioannis Kypraios. I enjoy good coffee, travelling, and I've been using Blender since version 2.4 — yes, back when the buttons lived at the bottom of the screen, some 20-odd years ago. Time flies.

I've always been fascinated by storytelling, first through films and later through video games. I was lucky enough to grow up during the golden age of classic RPGs, when games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout, and Divinity introduced me to unforgettable worlds, memorable characters, and meaningful choices.

Storytelling at its finest.

Ever since, I've wanted to create a game of my own. There was just one small problem: I couldn't draw to save my life. In fact I still can’t…

Growing up in Greece, resources for aspiring game developers were limited. The internet was still finding its feet, and gaming magazines were my window into the industry. Years later, I picked up a camera, explored 3D graphics, and gradually developed a passion for digital art and visual storytelling.

Along the way, I studied in the UK and China, settled in Luxembourg, and have been visiting South Korea regularly for over a decade. Travelling remains one of my greatest passions and continues to inspire how I imagine fictional worlds.

In my everyday life, I work as an IT Program Manager, having spent time in pharmaceuticals, banking, and startups. I also enjoy sharing my thoughts on technology, politics, games, and whatever else catches my attention.

I have a habit of starting ambitious projects that I never quite manage to finish. This one will be different as it is an idea I’ve been working on for a very long long time.

Today, I'm slowly bringing Tides and Blood, my indie RPG, to life. This website is my little corner of the internet, where I share my creative experiments, development challenges, occasional frustrations, and everything in between.

It's a work in progress, much like the game itself.

Thanks for stopping by!
