xarathyn - tHE WORLD OF TIDES AND BLOOD

Xarathyn is a world shaped by the rise and fall of civilizations, where ancient secrets lie buried beneath restless seas, impenetrable jungles, frozen mountains, and lands scarred by forgotten magic.

Across its vast territories, five races forge their place in a world full of peril.

Some races command knowledge accumulated over centuries. Others are only beginning to discover their potential. All are bound knowingly or otherwise , to a past whose true history remains shrouded in mystery.

Here the Gods are worshipped but seldom understood. Kingdoms rise upon the remnants of forgotten ages , and the boundary between history and legend is rarely clear.

From the drowned homeland of the Thal’ Veyr to the shadowed dominions of Vael ' Sorith, every corner of Xarathyn holds stories waiting to be uncovered.

But not every story is meant to be remembered.

Thal’ Veyr - The oceanic realms

Once Masters of magnificent civilizations beneath the waves, the Thal’Veyr now inhabit scattered islands, coastal sanctuaries and tidal settlements. Their ancient homeland remains beneath the sea, abandoned following the catastrophe known as the Great Silence.

Though generations have passed, the ocean continues to shape their bodies, traditions and dreams.

Vael’ Sorith - The bLOODBOUND

The Vael’ Sorith were once mortal scholars who discovered a forbidden ritual promising freedom from death. The ritual granted them extraordinarily long lives and an almost supernatural capacity to accumulate knowledge, but demanded a terrible price: their bodies became dependent on the blood of other living beings, and sunlight turned lethal to their flesh. Over the centuries, they retreated into subterranean sanctuaries and shadowed cities, building libraries that preserve knowledge forbidden.

They regard themselves as the last guardians of Xarathyn’s forgotten truths, revered for their ancient wisdom yet feared for the dark secrets they posses.

Aeldren - The Everstriving

The youngest of Xarathyn’s races, humans posses neither the ancient wisdom nor the extraordinary gifts of those who came before them. Yet their ambition, adaptability, and relentless curiosity have allowed them to establish kingdoms, master warfare, and explore the mysteries of arcane knowledge.

Driven by instatiable desire to discover and conquer, they continue to expand their influence, often clashing with older civilisations.

To some, they represent the promise of a new age. To others, a dangerous ambition that may one day consume them.

Ssar Keth - The Silent Hunters

Deep within the ancient jungles of Xarathyn dwell the Ssar Keth, a reptilian race forged by countless generations of ruthless survival. Masters of concealment, they possess formidable strength and the ability to vanish into their surroundings.

Unlike other races, the Ssar Keth communicate primarily without words. Subtle shifts in skin coloration, deliberate movements, and changes in posture form a complex language, allowing them to convey meaning in near perfect silence.

Often dismissed as primitive beasts, they posses a cold, calculating intelligence. Travellers whisper of forests where birds cease to sing and the air grows unnaturaly still.

For in the depths of their domain, silence is rarely a sign of solitude.

Ghor’ Vakk - The Oathbound

In the frozen wilderness of northern Xarathyn, where the earth lies burried beneath centuries of snow, wander the Ghor’ Vakk. Their clans are bound by an ancient covenant, passed from one generation to the next, though none remember who first swore it, or to whom.

Feared for their monstrous appearance and savage battle cries, they are nevertheless governed by traditions so sacred that breaking an oath is considered a fate worse than death.

They fight with an unsettling unity, moving as though many bodies share a single mind. Some believe this bond is born of blood and loyalty. Others whisper of something far older, burried beneath the northern ice.

And when one of their own falls, the others are said to hear a voice that does not belong to the living.
